Richly perfumed sake, highly evocative of Japanese musk melon and tropical lychee with a whiff of blooming frangipani.
This sake is luscious and rich with an expressive fruit cocktail palate. Melon and grapes dominate but ripe stone fruit are also in the mix. The sweetness of the sake is balanced by some umami in the back palate which contributes to its smooth clean finish.
Food matches – tomato based sauces and chilled tomato soup. Camembert cheese, ricotta and cheesecake. Luscious pear tart and tropical fruit salads.
Serve chilled and use a wine (tulip -shaped) glass to capture the expressive aromatics.
Keep in a cool, dark place. Once opened keep refrigerated.
