Description

  • Brewed by Abe Sake Brewery in Kashiwazaki, Niigata Prefecture. This is one of the smallest production brewers in Japan run by the Abe family’s sixth generation – Yuta Abe.
  • Made with locally grown Ippon-Jime rice.
  • Rice Polishing Ratio 55%.
  • Junmai Ginjo Classification, Namazake – unpasteurised, Genshu – undiluted.
  • 720ml Bottle Size.
  • ABV 16%.
  • Aroma of honey and chestnuts with a tinge of lemon.
  • A full rounded mouthfeel and mellow sweetness with emerging grapefruit-like bitterness on the finish to accentuate the taste and refresh the palate.
  • Food matches – fresh seafood platters, grilled calamari, mussels, scallops and prawns. White meat dishes such as chicken and pork. Try with cheese and particularly goat cheese and labneh. Would go well with Asian cuisine (Chinese, Vietnamese or Thai) because of full bodied palate and flavour spectrum.
